HKIHA is pleased to announce the application of 2026 Men’s Olympic Winter Games Qualification Round 1 Group N.
Male players born in 2007 or before and holds HKSAR Passport are eligible to play in this tournament.
The Qualification Game will be held on:
Date: Nov 7 – 12, 2023
Travel Date: Nov 5 – 14, 2023 (TBC)
Venue: Al Ain, United Arab Emirates
Age Eligibility: birth year 2007 or before (this is in accordance with the IIHF Bylaws)
Participating Teams: UAE, Kyrgyzstan, Hong Kong, Kuwait & Georgia
Quota: 20 (18 players + 2 goalies)
Cost: difference after subvention is borne by players at full cost.
Security Deposit: HKD5,000 (Refundable after the team’s return. Deposit will be forfeited if you cannot commit to go after being selected to the final roster)
Payment Method: Please send a cheque to “Hong Kong, China Ice Hockey Association Limited” by post to our Branch Office on or before the deadline of registration. Please note that the cheque must be delivered to HKIHA branch office by noon, Aug 29, 2023
ATTN: 2026 Men’s Olympic Winter Qualification (please write down your name at the back of the cheque).
Priority will be given to Players who had been selected to represent Hong Kong for Men’s World Championship, Asian Winter Games, Winter Olympic Pre-Qualification Game and U18 World Championship.
Try-out: if the pool of applicant exceeds the quota, try-out will take place.
Date of Announcement: Applicants will receive email on or before Sep 25, 2023.
